The Kingsdon Inn
This is the pub where Edith treated the 4 of us to a huge lunch. She so wanted us to have a meal together that Frances didn't have to prepare and we truly indulged!! It is about 4km along some very narrow and winding lanes from where Bob & Frances live. It has a website if you wish to have a closer look http://www.kingsdoninn.co.uk/

The Quarry Inn
The Quarry Inn is the pub over the road and down about 50m. It has a busy little bar for patrons to eat & drink in with a huge open fireplace. It would be great on a winters evening. At the rear is a function room with a skittle alley where Bob used to play regularly. He gave up after one too many hangovers! You can see pictures of it's outside on it's website at
The George & Pilgrim
Waiting for lunch at the George & Pilgrim
The George and Pilgrim is a quaint hotel where we went for lunch in Glastonbury. It's facade is made from the windows of a church that was demolished in the 1400's.
http://www.thegeorgeandpilgrim.co.uk/ is the link for this pub.

There was a long wait for the food so we just had to keep drinking with obvious results.
The staircases leading to the first floor in two of the three were made out of stone and were extremly worn and would be an OH&S problem in Australia
